The Epic: Simplifying bookkeeping with software integration

This project focused on making the client’s bookkeeping easier and quicker, so their small team could work smarter. The client was using Infor Syteline, a great tool for manufacturing, but it didn’t meet their specific accounting needs. The goals & challenges for C & F Millier were:

  • Reduce excessive time spent on bookkeeping.
  • Choose the best accounting tool to meet their needs.
  • Must integrate well with Infor Syteline, which is mission-critical for manufacturing production management.
  • Meet a tight deadline to implement the solution before year-end accounts.
  • Limited in-house software development expertise.

Our objective: to integrate a new accounting system with Infor Syteline that met the needs of the business and could be delivered within a tight deadline.

Our approach

We successfully integrated Infor Syteline with Xero, enabling the client to utilise the best features of both systems.

  • Initial Consultancy: After thoroughly analysing their business, we determined that Xero was the perfect fit for their needs.
  • iPaaS Selection: Custom building integrations in-house or with custom middleware is often time-consuming and resource-intensive. We chose Patchworks, a “no code” iPaaS solution, to ensure swift project delivery. iPaas (Integration platform as a service) reduces the need for custom development, saving time and money.
  • Collaborative approach: Regular communication with the accounts team kept us on track and ensured the project addressed all their problems.

Our strategic and collaborative approach ensured the project’s success, boosting the business’s efficiency while meeting a tight timeline.
